We are seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapists and Licensed Social Workers (LSW) who are licensed in the state of Maryland to join our dedicated team as remote contractors. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support to individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges.
This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices to foster positive outcomes. The therapists will work with diverse populations, including children and families, and may incorporate specialized techniques such as dance therapy into their practice.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and child family counseling.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Offer direct support to clients in inpatient settings as needed.
- Address gender issues counseling and other relevant topics during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.
Skills
- Proficiency in managing medical records and documentation processes.
- Strong background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients' needs.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for mental health diagnoses.
- Experience or training in dance therapy is a plus, enhancing the therapeutic approach for clients who may benefit from creative expression.
- Familiarity with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and their application in various settings.
- Ability to provide direct support in both individual and group therapy contexts.
- Understanding of gender issues counseling, ensuring sensitivity to diverse client backgrounds.
- Experience working in inpatient environments is advantageous but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
